Rehearse Their Act

Munchkinland : 12pm – 6pm Lower Marsh - music stage outside Cubana, market stalls & street performers.

Carnival Procession: 1.30 – 2pm The Mandinga Arts procession of 350 local residents & school children will depart from Johanna Primary School at 1.30pm, travel along Lower Marsh, down Westminster Bridge Road & Baylis Road, with a finale performance on Millennium Green.

Family Friendly Zone: 1 – 5pm Munchkins play area & Witches Tea Party for seniors on Millennium Green.

The Emerald City: 6pm – 10pm The Westminster Bridge end of Lower Marsh will be the Emerald City with a music & cabaret stage hosted by Timberlina, The Emerald Queen.

Launch Event & Film Screening

Partners Plan Launch

The Carnival programme will officially begin in mid-May with a launch event hosted by the BFI Southbank.

The event is for all partners, members of the community, schools, arts organisations & local businesses involved in the Carnival & will reveal special Wizard of Oz Carnival costumes made by Mandinga Arts.

In June, the BFI Southbank will also be hosting a Wizard of Oz community screening & special Wizard of Oz themed Film Funday on Sunday 29th June.
